The AKB0048 Unit Taikai SC0126 ~ Saikou no Team wa? ~ (AKB0048ユニット大会SC0126～最高のチイムは？～, AKB0048 Unit Tournament SC0126 ~ The Best Team is? ~) was a event held by AKB0048 from SC0126.12.01 to SC0126.12.28. The event was aired every Friday on TV Akibastar and broadcasted live from the New Tokyo Dome. The winner is to release a single on their own with the 2nd having the main as well as a secondary B-side as well as the 3rd and 4th place performing a B-side each. The single was released on SC0127.01.23.
Concept[]
AKB0048 members were able to form units (or participate as soloist) and create concepts for them on their own. In a first round, they introduced those units in videos which were uploaded on AKB0048's official channels online. Through an online voting, the units participating in the event itself were selected by fans. The event itself started on December 1st SC0126 with 16 units/solists participating in the live rounds.
