She is also known by her nicknames Miku (ミク) and NekoMiku (ねこみく); the latter comes from her love for cats. Miku is known for being quite a tsundere and a dedicated Kashita Miyagi fan. Aside of that, she enjoys spending time in the central city of Akibastar and watch TV. For some reason, she tends to stay out ridiculously late. She's been very secretive on why.

Appearance[]
Miku has fluffy, brown hair. The root of her hair is hazel, but the colour gradually changes to chestut. Her roots are much darker. She commonly wears her hair in two twintails that are held with a pair of ribbons. She has a fringe that makes her head appear very circular. Miku's eyes are rosé coloured and include three heart-shapes lines; two cross above eachother. She also has those lines on her hair. She is quite small for her age and a bit chubby; she appears younger than she is - mainly due to her height and style. She is often seen as cute, and often thought to be at least two years younger than she actually is. Her colour sheme is inspired by the Pokémon Eevee.
Miku's style varies a lot. After becoming an idol, she started to buy clothes that are very cute and lolita-styled, albeit her favourite colours, brown, beige and orange still are very prominent. Her make-up has changed similary too. Previously, her style was different. Among other things, she was heavily influenced by current fashion trends and her aunt which lead to her having a distinct style at young age. She used to wear a lot of velvet, (fake) leather and black colours.
The amount of clothes she has has grown ridiculously large. She always carried headphones or earpods with her to listen to music. She spends a lot of time with preparing her outfits and make-up every day, and is often told to be very cute. She does, however, not like that style as much as her old style.
Personality[]
Miku is confident into her opinion and generally heads the belief that it's correct. Despite trying to be calculating and clever, she often falls into traps that she builds on her own. She is very proud onto herself and whatever she has achieved. Miku is, as well, a very dedicated fan and heads strong dislikes towards others who do not think the same. She does, however, care deeply for people who she considers to be her friends, despite choosing them on a basis on who is useful to her; she personally defends this as "I am just making sure that they're on my side", she tends to develop a like for people who remain close to her. Quite often, she is sarcastic, blunt and salty. She's not beyong teasing people and is easily bored.
When talking to Kagome, she started to make up a persona which is based on her actual self. She refers to herself as "NekoMiku", which is a cover identity for her true self. "Chiba Miku" is her cover identity as human. She claims to be "NekoMiku, member of the high council of magic of the Kingdom of stars, trusted fellow, aid and ally to the society of felines, the messenger of the unseen message, sound and waves," and to have a connection to Sankyuu-sama, the grandmaster of magic in the Kingdom of Stars. The "Kingdom of the Stars", a place in Fantasy Land which is apparently often considered to be evil, but actually isn't. She is on a secret mission. Her power is to manipulate sound, and her magical device are her cat headphones (in connection to her phone). Her cat Percy is her familiar.
Skills[]
Miku has been very vague about her hobbies. She somewhat is interested in cooking because no one knows how to make good Vegan meals, but aside of it being practical, she has little interest in it. She knows how to cook several Vegan receipts. She enjoys helping at animal homes and similar places and several times has been seen working with a charity. She is often seen helping in a local animal sanctuary. She knows a lot about pets, in particular cats. She is quite creative and also has quite a few (strange) contacts.
Aside of that, Miku spends a lot of time with watching TV and surfing on websites such as tumblr. She also loves shopping; for some reason, she seems to have enough money to do so. She knows a lot of Vocaloid songs and producers due to being very active in the fandom. She knows how to skate board and often does so; it's her primary way of transporting. She can also snowboard, but does so less often.
Despite her lack of obvious hobbies, she is staying out ridiculously late but is fine with the lack of sleep. She has a few very random knowledge such as tarot and how to perform a tea ceremony from short passions. She also, for some reason, seems to be able to 'use both of her ears separately', i.e. by listening to two different songs on each ear and remembering both well, or hearing two tracks at the same time through different ears. She claims that she trained this, and that it's nothing notable, but she is often found using two different pieces of earphones to, presumably, use this skill.
She is surprisingly good at improv acting. She took acting classes in school ever since coming to Akibastar and has learned a few things, but is by far not the best actor if having to go by a director's vision and a script - she needs her 'creative freedom'. At some point, she must have learned various instruments - she plays the keyboard, the drums and the guitar, and also can use synthesizers. She has written her own songs.
Chronology[]
Miku was born on Baltistar; as a daughter to a government administrative and a house wife. Her family wasn't extremely high up, but high enough that she was able to watch entertainment online without needing to worry as long as she kept quiet. She grew up quite happily and grew used to her situation, even though her parents were nearly about to divorce due to several affairs on both parents' side. While casually lying about disliking entertainment to give her father the chance for promotions, she became a fan in secret; she didn't have a particular favourite. Miku's greatest achievement used to be access to music instruments. When she was younger, she got her hands on a pack of tarot cards (which by now are unusable). She taught herself to read them and did secret underground readings since fortune telling fell under Baltistar's entertainment ban. She made quite a bit money out of it since many people - not being very freely educated - believe into her tales.
SC0123 - SC0125[]
In SC0123, AKB0048 hold a guerilla live on Baltistar - not too soon after the 151st Generation debuted. Once she learned of the event, she and a few friends decided to attend. The event itself was ambushed by the DES - Miku hadn't been too afraid, up to the point where she was nearly shot by a DES soldier and saved in the last second by Kashita Miyagi. Miyagi soon became her favourite member, but on the other hand, her presence at the event had been confirmed and her father was arrested for this. Knowing that their family now was in danger, Miku's mother prepared an escape of herself and Miku to her sister who lived on Akibastar, leaving her husband behind for now. They managed to and Miku started attending a middle school on Akibastar (sadly not Infinity Academy; she hadn't been able to transfer there). Her mother, who now had quite large debts from their escape started working in her aunt's night club which was her main source of income and quite popular. She got used to live on Akibastar quite quickly and eventually became a strong AKB0048 fan, attending many of their concerts and events.
She participated in the 154th Generation auditions, but due to 'parental reasons', she was unable to attend the second round. She later on tried her luck with the 154.5th Generation audition, but failed. There, she met a few members of her generation.
SC0126[]
In April SC0126, Miku was the one to upload the video of Miyagi flatlining. It's unknown how exactly she managed to sneak in, but she did. Miku also was present at WMiya's succession concert.
In July, she was accepted into the pool of draftees. During the first day of the audition, she met her soon-to-be fellow members, and (somewhat) befriended with Kagome, and to some degree Yoko. She also met the other members of her generation, and eventually joined AKB0048. Even during the draft period, she began sneaking out a lot.
In December, she participated in the AKB0048 Unit Taikai SC0126 where she, in the first round, performed two Vocaloid song covers in a Hatsune Miku cosplay, and won against Luminate, scoring 86% of the votes between them. In the second round, she performed her original song Somebody ga Itta, initially accompanying herself with a guitar.

- Eguchi Aimi the 4th - Miku acknowledges her, but primarily, Aimi is a source of confusion. Miku doens't understand Kagome's admiration for her.
- Nakahara Monica - Senpai. Miku has developed a dislike for Monica because she emphases her combat abilities a lot; something that Miku considers as Miyagi's strenght.
- Takahashi Minami the 7th - Senpai. Miku doesn't like her because she snatched Miyagi's victory in several events.
- Zoey Bright / Akimoto Sayaka the 15th - Miku seems to hold little care for her. In her opinion, she's putting too much emphasis on her career, even though Mayuyu is better, in hr opinion.
- Asami Mirai / Nakai Rika the 15th - Senpai. Miku is annoyed that because of Rika's birth name, people tend to misread her name as Mirai.
- Akagi Yahiru / Yokoyama Yui the 13.5th - Miku has mixed feelings over Yui; she however tends to dislike because she is somewhat close to Miyagi.
- MoYoung Marian - Senpai. Miku has developed a dislike for Marian as a fan due to her being close to Miyagi.

Miku doesn't know why her parents gave her the name, but she likes it a lot; possibly due to her connection to Hatsune Miku. Her nicknames are derived from her name. Her original name was Chiba Kaori (千葉 かをり). Her given name uses the same kanji like Asami Mirai's name, but is pronounced differently. On meta level, she has various titles and nicknames: Cat Widow, Tumblr Vegan, Miyagi / Hatsune Miku Wannabe and Burned. In 0048, she is called NekoMiku by Kagome and Yoko.
