Zoey Bright (ゾーイ・ブライト) is the team captain of AKB0048's Team K. She is referred to as Akimoto Sayaka the 15th (１５代目 秋元才加).

Appearance[]
Zoey is 167.64cm. Her natural hair color is Red, and her eyes are Blue. She has long straight hair reaching her upper back, and as a member of AKB0048, she has hearts on her hair and eyes. During her time as an AKB0048 trainee, she usually wore her hair in a ponytail, but after succeeding, she understood it was preferable to leave her hair alone. On SC0125, she decided to color her hair silver blonde.
She frequently prefers to wear a Girl Crush style as her go-to fashion pick. She would, however, prefer to wear shorter attire due to the Aquastar's environment.
Personality[]
Zoey is a strong individual who does not want anyone to belittle her and loves to keep her energy level at one hundred no matter where she is or whom she may confront. You can always count on her to be your rock; whether you need to vent or cry on her shoulders; she will always listen. Giving up is not in her vocabulary, and she will always attempt to find a solution no matter the expense or hardship she may encounter; she may be stubborn when it is not what Zoey wants, but that does not mean she will not accept the outcomes. It is a known fact she is a doofus, but a lovable one who strives to make everyone smile, even if it means embarrassing herself in front of everyone. She enjoys delivering hugs.
As a captain, Zoey enjoys taking command and providing assistance when it is most required, doing her best to assist her comrades whenever possible. She will sometimes leave everything and rush to the person's aid, even if it means disrupting her schedule and priorities. Likes to create relationships and learn about their life experience, as well as where their viewpoints come from, even if it takes a few conflicts. She can be competitive at times, but this is due to the excitement of not knowing the outcome. She couldn't be a good leader if not the help of her team.
History[]
Early Life[]
She was born and raised in Aquastar, overcoming whatever obstacles life threw her way. She was a rebellious girl when she was younger, but she met someone who eventually became her mentor name Ayaka who helped Zoey walk in the light rather than the darkness. Later, Zoey joined Ayaka's gang to protect her district from troublemakers while working to make it safer one day at a time. She learned to fight over the years while defending people from injustice, and her enthusiasm for fighting evolved into a passion for street dance.
She and a couple of her friends decided to hold a slumber party when she was approximately ten years old, and during that time the girls chose to watch a LIVE broadcast of AKB0048's Guerrilla performance. She felt a fiery passion inside her heart at the end of the concert, as if the universe was calling her to audition whenever the moment was perfect. The performance of Ichikawa Miori the 9th seemed wonderful and once-in-a-lifetime.
Audition[]
As she entered the Flying Get, she ran across several females who were about to audition, including her best friend, Ashley Snow. Later, while going through their initial Micsaber training, she ran across the other females, including Masuda Akari and Asahina Miru. Masuda and Snow didn't get along at first, primarily because Ashley made an improper introduction; nevertheless, the two subsequently made amends and rekindled their relationship. At the cafeteria, she later ran into Miyabi Honoka and Kashita Miyagi. Zoey joined AKB0048 after surpassing a terrible and horrific event during their final audition round consisting of a training combat simulation against the DES.
Succession[]
During an episode of AKBingo00! The idol known as Zoey Bright became fatally ill, collapsing on the floor, and spent the entire weekend recovering from her illness. A few days later, management stated that a succession concert will be held to commemorate her succeeding a particular successor. Zoey stated near the end of the show that she's taking over Akimoto Sayaka's name, becoming the 15th person to hold this title. She is the second person in the New Era to become a successor. After the concert, everyone jokingly blamed Akimoto Sayaka the 15th for the illness that day that a fellow member, Sato Amina the 6th, contracted.

- Takahashi Minami the 7th- They both know how demanding being a captain is since they are both captains. Ai becoming Takamina has Zoey's full support. She sees a similarity between them both. She is perplexed why Takamina has yet to put out another solo song. She also imagines Takamina as a manager; perhaps in the future, Takamina and Sasshi will work together.
- Mayu Watanabe Type 5- As well as Matsui Jurina, Mayuyu seriously toyed with Zoey's feelings but that was to be expected from the pranksters of 00. Mayuyu seemed odd to Zoey. To make Sasshi's life a little bit tougher, they occasionally work on tormenting her together, Sayaka via dance practice and Mayuyu through martial training, although Sayaka finds it to be assisting Sasshi in honing her craft.
- Matsui Jurina the 8th- She is often confused by her,mostly together with Watanabe Mayu type 5.Sayaka always has to repeat that she's not ZoZo, she's Sayaka. She really messed up her emotions, but what would you expect?
- Ogawa Norah - When Norah goes out, Zoey sees her everywhere. Although she initially thought it was a little spooky, she later understood that she was only doing it to get money. She is aware of how diligent she is when working for an annual income. Before Zoey graduated from Infinity Academy, she also encountered her there. She wished to get to know more of her.
- Yano Bright - Zoey Bright’s mother. Yano has been a huge inspiration to Zoey’s life ever since her father left the family many years ago. Her mother was concerned about Zoey's safety throughout her time as an AKB0048 member. Zoey knows she has her mother by her side no matter how dark life gets.
- Chiemi Bright- Zoey’s grandmother. Her grandma would normally look after them while her mother was at work. Her grandmother did not like the thought of her granddaughter being an intergalactic idol with the risk of being captured by D.G.T.O. at first, but she understood that with Zoey's tenacity. Regardless of her response, she would be auditioning. Chiemi is proud of the adult she has become.
- Fujimoto Jung Woo- Zoey’s stepfather. She met him a year before she left for AKB0048. She appreciates all the efforts he has done for the family. She is glad he joined the family.
- Aki Bright- The younger brother of Zoey Bright. Their relationship can be a little annoying and arguable at times, but they really love each other. Their father left when Aki was 4 years old. Aki sees his older sister as a role model, he wants to become stronger than his big sister. The current age is 15. Dreams of becoming Galaxies international martial arts winner and actor . Zoey heard the news that her younger brother joined " The Serpents" as he wanted to be like his big sister. Zoey still can't believe that her little brother is getting old. She wishes to spend time with hi, but she's busy with her idol activities and solo work. She wishes that he gets introduced to their half-siblings
- Lucia Espinoza- Half sibling. Lucia feels different about Zoey. Zoey tries to understand Lucia. Zoey promises that one day they'll have sister day to better understand Lucia and Lucia wants to understand Zoey. Zoey tries to guide her. She is her guardian.
- Leonardo Espinoza- Half sibling. Zoey could see a lot of herself in Leonardo. They have similar personality traits, but there somewhat different in a way. Lumiere wants to be a WOTA because they seem " cool". Zoey tells him to try harder. She is his guardian.
- Kara Espinoza- Half sibling. Kara really likes Zoey. She forgot all about their dad. People would say that she gets spoiled by Zoey, mainly because they were both poor so she wants her (Kara) to feel better. Zoey quite surprised when she found out Kara is obsessed with Unicorns, but she found somewhat cute. She wishes her to have a good future. She is her guardian.

The meaning of the name is in Greek is "Life".
Bright in Hiragana is written as ぶらいと
The meaning of the name is of course "luminously".
Before her succession, Miyabi Honoka gave Zoey a nickname "ZoZo" (日本語)
After succeeding her successor, she was given the nicknames which her successor was called before such as Saaya (さぁや). Okaro(オカロ)
She was nicknamed Dancing Queen (ダンスクイーンオブ00) as she the most known dancer of the idol group.
Her COM name when she's on her LAS is Gorilla (ゴリラ). Given by her members; the reason why is a secret.
