MV Sypnosis[]
The screen starts out black. The sound of someone walking is heard, before the camera fades to four pairs of feet walking on what appears to be diamond. They stop, and the screen fades to black again. It fades back to another three pairs of feet walking in another direction, before fading to black again. Once more, the screen fades back to two pairs of feet walking in yet another direction. It fades to black again, before fading back to a final pair of feet walking straight towards the camera.
The screen cuts to the group of ten people standing side by side, wearing worn, but casual, clothes. Their faces aren’t shown. One of the people suddenly takes a step forward, prompting the others to follow after a moment. The word “Ikou” (‘Let’s go’) appears on a black screen.
The music starts. The screen cuts to a stage illuminated from the behind, showing only the silhouettes of the senbatsu as they move along with the music.
The moment the first strophe of lyrics starts, the screen cuts to the girls making their way through a maze, reaching a door. Walking through it, they see the base of a large temple made of some kind of crystal with gold decor. Something is shining at the top of the temple, but the girls cannot see what it is. The screen cuts to a close-up of Akari, Ai and Miyagi, who look at each other and nod.
The screen cuts back to the, now fully illuminated stage, and the first refrain is performed.
The screen cuts back to the girls. The group are climbing up the steep stairs, at times pausing and marvelling at the view they have of the surrounding area. They reach a platform, from which the staircase doesn’t continue. In the wall of the large building, they see an ornate door, and when they walk close to it, the doors open. They look at each other with looks varying from excitement, to confusion and wariness. After a moments hesitation, they head toward the door, approaching it together. A sudden gust pushes everyone back, and they shield their eyes to continue walking, but seems to push everyone but Akari, Ai, Miyagi and Ashley more. The moment Akari, Ai, Miyagi and Ashley passes through the door, they shut, separating the four from the rest of the group.
The song has now reached the intermission, and the camera stays with Akari, Ai, Miyagi and Ashley, who spins on their heels, pushing at the doors and calling for the others. The other groups’ voices reach them, saying that they are okay. The others also urge them to move on, as they’ve gotten too far to turn back. After a moments hesitation, the three decide to do so.
The screen cuts to a montage of the four moving through different obstacles of various degrees of deadliness through help and teamwork, holding on to each other for balance and similar.
They reach a larger ledge that they need to climb over, and they start to do so. The screen cuts to Akari. She pulls herself up to the edge of it, hanging on the ledge by her arms. Suddenly, she slips back. The screen cuts to her outstretched hand as she starts to fall, almost in slow motion. Two hands reach out and manages to grasp her hand before it passes the edge. The screen pans out, and Ai and Miyagi are holding on to her hand, both wearing a smile on their face, before they pull her up, Ashley helping them when she can get to.
The screen cuts back to the stage, and the second refrain is performed.
When the next piece of instrumental section start, the screen cuts back to the four girls as they get through another door, which closes behind them, and they see the opening to the top of the temple. The door is slowly closing, and the girls share a look, before dashing toward it. As they get closer, the opening gets smaller and smaller, and they realize that they’re not going to get through – at least not all of them. When they get close enough, Ai, out of nowhere pushes Akari forward, causing the brunet to tumble through the gap right before it closes.
Akari rises up, looking at the now closed opening. She hits it with her fist, calling for the other three, wanting it to open, but it doesn’t budge. Then the light shining behind her registers, and she slowly turns around. She walks up to from where the light is coming from; the top of a pedestal. When she gets there, she realizes that it is a crystal. Hesitating, she reaches out, and lifts the crystal off the pedestal. In an instant, the ragged clothes she are wearing is replaced with the uniform for the song.
The screen cuts to a wide shot of the temple, and the light at the top expands to cover the whole screen.
When the second refrain starts, the screen cuts to all of the members performing in the uniform on top of the crystal temple, performing the song to the end.

A small blossom,
little more than a bud.
A lively child,
screaming in delight.
The will to never give up
when times get rough.
They are all
Chronicles of hope
When I was young
I had little to
call my own.
Much like a newborn foal
or a seedling
It took a while
for me to realize
that I was important too
Dreaming on
Struggling on
They are both the same
No matter where they're from
Chronicles of hope
that's what they are
that's what we are
Chronicles of hope
A small token
Yet worth so much
Chronicles of hope
A wilting flower
having seen its years
A solemn whisper
lonely as the wind
When tears flow in abundance
And the pain doesn't disappear
They are still
Chronicles of love
When I become an adult
I will be successful
And I'll be famous
Yet even then
when I'm grown
I will still continue
viewing the world
through the eyes of a child
Falling and tripping
And getting up again
That's the rollercoaster of life
We all have to take
Chronicles of love
They will always be
We will always be
Chronicles of love
The biggest aspiration
or the smallest of hopes
Chronicles of love
Chronicles of hope
that's what they are
that's what we are
Chronicles of hope
A small token
Yet worth so much
Chronicles of love
Chronicles of hope
